Bridgerton Machines & Packaging Design
Concept Development & Visual Exploration
I led the early creative exploration by translating department heads inspiration and my own research into the Bridgerton universe—its patterns, motifs, and Regency-era details—into multiple original design concepts. These mock-ups were created specifically to demonstrate Janome’s creative potential to Shondaland | Netflix while the contract was still being finalized.
Design Iteration & Refinement
I guided the refinement process by narrowing down the strongest design directions through multiple rounds of iteration. Each version incorporated feedback while pushing the concepts forward visually, ensuring they stayed both on-brand for Bridgerton and technically appropriate for the machines.
Machine-Specific Digital Mock-Ups
I translated the selected patterns into polished, digital mock-ups applied directly onto the intended machine models. This step helped bring the concepts to life and allowed stakeholders to visualize how the designs would function in a real-world product context before anything was finalized.
Collaboration with Netflix/Shondaland Assets & Reviews
Once the contract was finalized, I integrated official Netflix/Shondaland assets and adhered closely to their style guide. I managed several rounds of design revisions—first internally, then with Netflix/Shondaland—resulting in two approved machine designs: Wisteria Promenade and Toile Romance.
Packaging Design & Final Production Alignment
I applied the Bridgerton style guide to Janome’s packaging system, carefully balancing required design assets, machine information, and brand logos for both Bridgerton and Janome. After multiple in-house and Netflix/Shondaland review rounds, I finalized the packaging, ensuring it met all creative, branding, and production requirements.Programs Used
